Please Join a Nationwide Novena to Saint Joseph for the Conversion of President Joseph Biden

I know it's been beyond a hot minute since I've posted here! But I wanted to take the chance to invite my readers to join in on a prayer effort to Saint Joseph for our country and for the conversion of Joseph Biden.

PLEASE JOIN US for a Nationwide Novena to Saint Joseph for the Conversion of President Joseph Biden

It will be prayed every day March 10-18 (please don't hesitate to join in if you see this after, though!).

Picture thousands of Catholic Americans praying together to the most powerful saint apart from the Mother of God for the conversion of our brother in Christ. Think about what that could do!

Thousands already are planning to pray a novena to Saint Joseph before his feast day. Please simply add the conversion of Joseph Biden to your explicitly stated intentions. If you were not planning to pray one, please consider adding the simple yet powerful prayer below for nine days along with any fasting or sacrifices you are able to offer.

Make no mistake. The president of the United States, a baptized Catholic with the namesake of Saint Joseph, being declared in a year specifically dedicated to Saint Joseph is no random chance. It is clear that he needs the prayers of his brothers and sisters in Christ to return to the teachings of the Church and the true life of a disciple. It is inarguable that he has strayed far from his baptismal vows and that his policies are at grave odds with the teachings of Christ and the Church. We are in an epic spiritual battle and we must engage the way disciples do - primarily through prayer and fasting.

And so I invite you to add the conversion of President Biden to your novena prayers, either to the one you will already be praying or through the prayer I offer below, prayed for nine days along with any fasting you can add. We pray this both for the sake of his own soul as well as for the sake of our country and all those in it.

Please join us and please share! Feel free to copy and print the prayer or images below to aid in your prayer.

Saint Joseph, ora pro nobis!

To thee, O Blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our affliction, and, having implored the help of thy thrice holy Spouse, we now, with hearts filled with confidence, earnestly beg thee also to take us under thy protection. By that charity, wherewith thou  wert  united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by that father love, with which thou didst cherish the Child Jesus, we beseech thee and we humbly pray that thou wilt look down with gracious eye upon that inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His Blood, and wilt succor us in our need by thy power and strength.

Defend, O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen offspring of Jesus Christ. Keep from us, O most loving Father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the peril of His life, so now defend God's holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under thy patronage, that, imitating thy example and strengthened by thy help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death, and attain to everlasting bliss in heaven. Amen.*

St. Joseph, we pray especially during this novena for the conversion of Joseph Biden and for (add your own intentions here).

(This prayer was found in the basement of our church a few weeks ago. A few years ago our pastor also discovered there an extremely damaged painting of Saint Joseph and began the work for its restoration. The restored painting (shown in the graphic) was just completed a few weeks ago and placed back in our church. You can see more about it here: https://www.wgrz.com/article/news/local/restored-painting-of-st-joseph-jesus-unveiled-at-corpus-christi-church-buffalo/71-844be797-76ba-404c-b6dc-15e2d7d1ac26)
