Well, hello there! I hope you've been having a blessed Advent so far. Things here have been...insane? Overwhelming? Intense. That's what it's been. Intense. 'Tis not been the season for blogging, I'll tell you that much. But I have a few minutes and darn it, I'm going to write something.

I've shared in some of my Advent posts that we try not to indulge in Christmas music until it's actual Christmas. I KNOW! Crazy!! But it helps us enter into the wait and live out the spirit of the liturgical year in our little domestic church. But that doesn't mean it's pure silence around here for four-ish weeks straight. (Ha. HA. HAHAHAHA! That actually sounds like the thing my daily dreams post 2 p.m. with six boys in a small house in the north in December are made of.) Over the past few years I've tried to collect some music for Advent to play in the house. So here's a little playlist I made with some of my favorites. Contrary to popular belief there actually is Advent music beyond O Come, O Come Emmanuel. (But, I most definitely have a few versions of that one on here, too, ha!) I was actually looking through a music hymnal with some friends last week and there were dozens of Advent songs and we were all why do we never hear these at church?!?! They're beautiful! (Music ministers, pleeease take note!) But at least in our house, anyway, I'll try to make up for that just a little bit.
